About

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) in Salem, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States, founded in 1799. While a more academic setting than most in the Mystic District, PEM, holds one of the world’s most important collections of objects and architecture related to the Salem Witch Trials. Through the museums' efforts, PEM is committed to telling the story of the Salem Witch Trials in ways that honor the victims.
